This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true; but if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. – 1 John 1:5-7
Greetings Church,
When our sanctuary was constructed in 1946, it was the only large structure on our campus, and it accommodated space for adults, youth, and children. The backside of the building was adorned with 63 windows for one purpose, to let the light in. The windows have let the light shine upon many generations. For over 80 years, they have brightened our Sunday school classes, our worship and rehearsal spaces, and our fellowship hall.
A lot has changed throughout the years. As of today, our church has five large buildings on its campus. The original wooden windows have deteriorated. Even so, these windows remind us of the spiritual task that we share as believers, to let the light of Christ shine into this Church for those who are here now and for the generations to come.
Please consider helping us Let the Light In by donating the cost of a single replacement window for the backside of our sanctuary building.
The total amount needed to replace all 63 windows is $39,000.00. $600 a window will enable us to replace all the windows in the sanctuary building.
If you choose to sponsor a window or donate toward a partial window, please fill out a card below. When this project is completed, a single plaque will be installed in the sanctuary building to commemorate this massive undertaking and those who supported it.
Thank you for continued faithfulness!
In Christ,
Rev. Blake Trent
