A Grateful Response to Grace
“I’M IN: Responding to God’s Grace” is Dallas First UMC’s churchwide stewardship series for October 2026. Stewardship is more than financial generosity; it is the faithful care of everything God has entrusted to us. Because God has loved us, welcomed us, forgiven us, and invited us through Jesus Christ into a life bigger than ourselves, we respond with gratitude. Together, we will consider how God is calling each of us to offer our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness as we share Christ’s love and continue the ministry God has placed before Dallas First.
Four Ways to Say “I’M IN”
I’M INcluded in God’s Family
You belong in the family of God. Receive the grace that welcomes you, and help build a church community where every person can know they are seen, valued, and loved.
I’M INstrumental to God’s Work
God has given you unique gifts, passions, and abilities. Use what you have been entrusted with to serve others and participate in the work God is doing through Dallas First.
I’M INviting Others to Experience God’s Love
Your witness can make room for someone else to encounter Christ. Share God’s love through hospitality, compassion, invitation, and faithful service in our community.
I’m INvested in God’s Church
Invest in what lasts. Through your generosity, you help build a church where people encounter Christ, find belonging, and grow in faith. Offer your gifts as an act of trust in God and commitment to the ministry we share.

We’ll share breakfast and fellowship as we look forward with hope to what God is calling us to do together. Afterward, we’ll gather for worship to remember the faithful saints whose prayers, service, and generosity continue to shape Dallas First. Bring your 2027 I’M IN Commitment Card as we honor their legacy by offering our own gifts and commitments to the ministry ahead.

Your I’M IN commitment is a prayerful response to God’s grace and a meaningful way to support the ministry we share in 2027.
Is the I’M IN Commitment Card only about financial giving?
No. Financial generosity is one part of stewardship, but your commitment also includes the prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness you bring to Dallas First. The card invites you to identify your God-given passions and abilities as well as your financial intention.
Is my stewardship commitment a bill or a contract?
No. Your commitment is not a bill or a contract. It is a prayerful statement of intention—a way to respond to God’s grace and share how you hope to support the ministry of Dallas First in the coming year.
Why does Dallas First ask for a 2027 commitment?
Commitments help church leadership plan responsibly for 2027. They provide a clearer picture of the resources our congregation anticipates providing so we can faithfully prepare for worship, discipleship, care, outreach, staff, and ministry.
What if I am unable to make a large financial commitment?
Every faithful response matters. Whether you are beginning to give regularly, taking a step toward tithing, continuing a longstanding pattern of generosity, or offering your time and talents, we invite you to prayerfully consider how God is calling you to say, “I’M IN.”
