Meet The Staff

Blake has a passion for planning excellent worship and for developing exciting new ways to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

He is originally from Dahlonega, GA, and a graduate of the University of Georgia. After completing his undergraduate degree, Blake served as the youth minister at Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Athens and later served as the Senior High Youth Director at LaGrange First United Methodist Church. He received his Master of Divinity from Gammon Theological Seminary at The Interdenominational Theological Center in 2015 and was appointed to LaGrange First United Methodist Church as their Associate Minister.

In 2016, Blake married the love of his life, Katie Westbrook Trent. Currently, Blake and Katie live with their Boykin Spaniel, Dolly Parton, and their two fish, Bob, and Marley. Blake loves spending time with his wife, family, and friends.

Brittney grew up in Dallas, Georgia where she graduated from Hiram High School.  She is married to Mitchell, and they have one daughter together, Bristol.

In her free time, she enjoys attending church, volunteering, spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, and baking.

Kristie attended Kennesaw State University where she graduated in 1998.  She has been married to her husband for 23 years and has two daughters.

She began working at the Children’s Learning Center in 1999 and became the director in 2005.  The Children’s Learning Center has grown from a 2-day a week Parent’s Day Out to a 5-day a week preschool.

Lisa is from Geneva, Alabama.  She graduated from Brevard College in North Carolina with an Associate Degree in Fine Arts, and The University of Montevallo, Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree in piano pedagogy.

She has been married to Steve for 36 years and they have two children and two grandchildren. Steve and Lisa moved to Dallas in 1986 and have enjoyed raising their family here.

She was the accompanist for Kennesaw UMC for the last eleven years, and now has returned to Dallas First, her home church!

Jennifer is from Marietta, GA. She has been married to Jon for 15 years and has three daughters. In addition to her musical gifts, she enjoys crafting, painting, sewing and writing. She previously served at Acworth UMC for 14 years, most recently as both the contemporary worship director (vocals) and technical worship director (sound/media) for 7 years. She has been honored to serve in multiple ministries such as choir, worship band, orchestra (flute) and handbells. She is excited about serving God with these gifts at Dallas First!
