ORDER OF WORSHIP 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship Service

PRELUDE “Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence” Mrs. Lisa Enfinger

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Rev. Julianna Sunrich

CALL TO WORSHIP Chancel Choir

How shall we prepare the house of the coming King? With branches of cedar, the tree of royalty.

How shall we prepare this house for the coming of the eternal Christ? With garlands of pine and fir, whose leaves are ever living, evergreen.

How shall we prepare this house for the coming of our Savior? With wreaths of holly and ivy, telling of his passion, death, and resurrection.

How shall we prepare our hearts for the coming of the Son of God? By hearing again the words of the prophets, who foretold the saving work of God.

*HYMN “Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken” No. 731

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH “Apostles’ Creed” Rev. Sunrich

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

*GLORIA PATRI Rev. Sunrich

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever.
